Novel screen‐printed electrode for the determination of dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide in water samples

Abstract: The construction and electrochemical response characteristics of a screen-printed electrode (SPE) for the determination of dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide (DTAB) are described. The sensor was based on the use of DTA-tetraphenylborate ion association complex as an electroactive material in screen-printed electrode with dioctylsebacate (DOS) as a solvent mediator. In aqueous solution of pH 3, the sensor displayed a stable response for six months with reproducible potential and linear response for surfactant ove… Show more

“…Disposable screenprinted electrodes provide fast, sensitive detection and quantiFcation of various analytes in complex samples derived by the medical diagnosis and food Felds. In addition, the small size of these electrodes enables a very small volume of sample to be used for analysis [20][21][22][23][24].…”

“…To develop a good sensitive sensor for chromium ion determination [17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24], many efforts were done using various neutral ionophores. However, reported sensors showed narrow working concentration range, non-Nernstian response and high response time [25][26][27][28] and significant interference from foreign ions Egyptian Journal of Chemistry http://ejchem.journals.ekb.eg/ ________________________________________________ Egypt.
