Nuclear Charge Distribution in the Spontaneous Fission of 252Cf: Isotopic Yield Distribution for Technetium Isotopes

Abstract: The fractional independent yields (FIY) of 101 Tc, I03 Tc, 104 Tc and 10 s Tc in the spontaneous fission of 2 5 2 Cf were determined by following the decay of technetium after rapid chemical separation from molybdenum. All the yields were determined for the first time. Except for 101 Tc, the yields for 10 3 Tc, 104 Tc and 105 Tc fall on a single Gaussian curve.
