Nuclear spectroscopy of90Y

Abstract: The level structure of 9oy has been studied using the 91Zr(t, e)9Oy and a9y(n,~/)9~ reactions. The proton pickup reaction was studied with 17MeV tritons and a Q3D spectrometer. In the thermal 89y(n, 7)9~ reaction y-rays from ~ 100 to 6,857 keV were observed. In addition to previously known states and configurations, the ten states of the 7~(p3) -1 v(d~) ~ and rc(f~) -1 v(d~) ~ configurations are assigned. Also many other new levels are identified from the (n, ~) data. The 0-state of the rc(f-~)-1 v(d-~) 1 is a… Show more

“…91 Zr(t, α) 90 Y pickup-reaction analysis and the assumption of a similarity between the picked-proton SFs and picked-neutron SFs [71] have been involved for calculation of 93 Nb(n, α) 90 Y reaction cross-sections. Thus, 14 levels up to ∼ 2.5 MeV excitation energy have been considered within the analysis of the measured α-particle angular distributions [68] shown in Fig. 7.…”
