Nucleon axial form factor from generalized parton distributions

Abstract: It is well established that the nucleon form factors can be related to Generalized Parton Distributions (GPDs) through sum-rules. On the other hand, GPDs can be expressed in terms of Parton Distribution Functions (PDFs) according to Diehl's model. In this work, we use this model to calculate polarized GPDs for quarks ( Hq) using the available polarized PDFs obtained from the experimental data, and then study the axial form factor of nucleon. We determine parameters of the model using standard χ 2 analysis of e… Show more

“…We refer to the articles [51,52] for a review of experimental data on the nucleon axial FFs. The axial FFs can be extracted using various theoretical approaches [53][54][55][56][57][58][59][60][61]. In recent years, lattice QCD simulations of axial FFs have been reported for pion masses in the range 0.2 − 0.6 GeV [62][63][64][65][66][67][68][69], while in a very recent study, the lattice QCD calculation of nucleon axial FF in 2 + 1 flavor near the physical pion mass has been presented by the PACS Collaboration [70].…”

“…The 3D hadron structure can be accessed through GPDs [1][2][3][4][5] which are measurable in hard exclusive scattering processes. In this work, following the recent works [25,26] performed to determine the polarized GPDs H q v , we determined the unpolarized valence GPDs H q v and E q v with their uncertainties at zero skewness (ξ = 0) by performing some χ 2 analyses of the related experimental data. To this end, we first considered the world electron scattering data presented in Ref.…”

“…This property gives possibility to use the reduced GPDs H q , H q and E q at ξ = 0 to extract them from FFs analyses [23,24]. Following this procedure the analyses of the polarized GPDs H q was done in [25,26].…”
