Numerical simulation and experimental research of low energy impact on police riot suit

Abstract: A numerical model was established by using ABAQUS for a police riot suit which was composed of nylon, foam polyethylene and sandwich board under low energy impact provided by 7.5 kg ball head impact assembly. The impact force and the energy absorbed by the riot suit are numerically analyzed, and the structure of the riot suit is improved.
