Numerical simulation to evaluate guidewire and catheter behavior during catheter introduction

Abstract: A national questionnaire survey on guidewire penetration accidents by the Japanese Society for Neuroendovascular Therapy reported examples of perforation accidents occurring "during catheter introduction" (75.2% of accidents).
