Abstract:In this work, the process of combustion of hydrocarbon fuel in the original burner of the evaporative type with the supply of superheated water vapor to the reaction zone is investigated using numerical modeling. N-heptane was used as a model fuel. The turbulent flow of gases was modeled on the basis of the RANS (Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes) approach.
