Nutrition, physical activity and screen time policies and practices in family day care in NSW, Australia

Abstract: We developed a policy review tool to assess the extent to which family day care service providers' policies adhere to national standards and relevant guidelines • Service provider policies and practices were more likely to promote healthy eating compared with infant feeding, physical activity and screen time • Service providers trained in the Munch & Move program were more likely to offer healthy eating and physical activity professional development to educators and have more comprehensive nutrition policies
