Abstract:O phase precipitation and variant selection in Ti–22Al–25Nb alloy during the hot shear spinning are investigated using scanning electron microscope (SEM), electron backscattered second diffraction (EBSD), and transmission electron microscope (TEM). The results show that the random O phase precipitates from the B2 matrix during the hot shear spinning. With the increase of reduction ratio, the average thickness of O precipitates increases from ≈0.18 to ≈0.50 μm. Meanwhile, the O precipitates show various morphol… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
