“…The δ 13 C and δ 18 O values for the Cabeçuda shells are in the range from 0.96 to 1.81‰ and from -1.35 to -0.31‰, respectively. These values are within the range found by Casati (2019) for several Anomalocardia shells from Cabeçuda and nearby sites. They are also broadly consistent with the modeled present-day values for the South Atlantic ocean (see Gruber et al 1999;LeGrande and Schmidt 2006;Tagliabue and Bopp 2008) and these two variables show no correlation in the set of samples analyzed in the present study (Figure 3a).…”
