Obesity as a Trigger for Autoimmune Rheumatic Diseases

Abstract: The chronic low-grade inflammation in obesity and multiple pleiotropic effects of adipokines on the immune system has been implicated in the pathogenesis of various rheumatic autoimmune and inflammatory conditions.
