Purpose: The present study explores an effective strategy implementation in the municipality of Saudi Arabia. The study also recognizes the mediating effect of planning success in the study. Design/Methodology/ Approach: The researchers conducted the study using quantitative methods, which applied the survey questionnaire to get responses from management-level employees working in the municipality Eastern Province Region of Saudi Arabia. Finally, the analysis utilized 274 samples to conclude it. Findings: Using SEM through AMOS, the study's outcomes significantly affect strategic behaviours, resource allocation, institutional policies and planning success in an effective strategy implementation. Moreover, the planning success factor mediates the association between strategic behaviour, resource allocation and effective strategy implementation. On the other hand, planning success negatively mediates the association between institutional policies and effective strategy implementation. Research, practical and social implications: The study findings would support cultivating a culture of flexibility and prioritizing collaborative approaches for effective strategy implementation. The results also help efficiently allocate critical resources, prioritize strategic investments, and maintain flexibility in resource reallocation to align with evolving strategic goals. Finally, it guides the development of policies with practical strategies, encourages calculated risk-taking, and establishes robust monitoring mechanisms with transparent communication to ensure successful strategy implementation. Originality/ value: This study fills the gaps in the empirical assessment among Saudi municipalities.

The purpose of this study is to explore the pitfalls on strategy execution of an organization as organizations often unable to meet objectives and most likely fails, and this is normally attributed due to the inefficiency on the strategy implementation process. To address this gap, the research employed a deductive approach with exploratory research design by focusing on qualitative data as a systematic review of theoretical and empirical studies are more vital for this type of research. The study focused on a systematic literature review (SLR) of 22 peer-reviewed theoretical and empirical studies. By using a review and generalization of the existing approaches followed by synthesizing with relevant model portrayed organizations seriously faced a challenge on implementation phase and the inability to properly address the pitfalls on strategy execution process costs a lot especially to senior and top executives as they are primarily responsible for the successful execution of an organization strategy. Hence, organizations shall establish a clear evaluation system and sense of ownership for successful implementation of a strategy. As a future direction the paper also identified that a more in-depth and field work research in an organizations are vital in order to examine and address the challenges on the implementation phase.

The research aimed to examine the impact of operational planning on the performance of mobile service providers in Nigeria. Employing a survey research design, the study utilized a multistage sampling technique to gather primary data from a sample of 350 randomly chosen employees representing the workforce of the four major mobile network operators in Nigeria-MTN, Globacom, Airtel, and 9 Mobile-comprising the study's target population. The analysis of the collected data involved the application of descriptive statistics and regression analysis. The findings from the regression analysis revealed a positive and statistically significant (p < 0.05) correlation between operational planning and business growth within Nigeria's mobile communication sector. Based on the findings of the study, it was concluded that tactical planning is a substantial contributor to business growth in the telecom sector in Nigeria. The study suggests that Nigerian mobile service providers should invest in refining their Operational Planning processes, regularly assess their strategies, foster a culture of continuous improvement, engage in employee training, collaborate with industry peers, and stay updated with technological advancements. This will not only contribute to individual organizational growth but also positively impact the broader mobile service ecosystem.
