Abstract:Importance: Patients in intensive care units (ICUs) experience complex functional, physical, and cognitive needs that affect their engagement in activities of daily living (ADLs). Occupational therapy practitioners are uniquely positioned to address these needs to optimize patients’ functional recovery.
