“…The concentration of EDCs in the water phase of Taihu Lake was compared with that at home and abroad, see Table S6 for as an example, which is lower than that in Yangtze River (Nanjing section) (nd-563 ng/L) [39], Pearl River (4-377 ng/L) [42], Liaohe River (12.3-755.6 ng/L) [43], slightly higher than that in Yellow River (12.5-171.5 ng/L) [44], and the same concentration level as Chaohu Lake (7.3-224.9 ng/L) [18].…”

“…There are many chemical plants along the main river flowing into Zhushan Bay (S3), about 26000 tons of BPA are put into use as raw materials or standby materials every year, and the industrial wastewater discharged into the river by the chemical plant can reach 23400000 tons every year. Liu et al [18] measured the EDCs in the tributary water of Taihu Lake, and found that the concentration of industrial compounds detected in Caohe was the highest (1380 ng/ L), which increased the concentration of S1 after flowing into Taihu Lake. S4 is located near Lihu bridge.…”

“…The PNEC values were obtained as HC5/AF, where HC5 is the pollutant's hazardous concentration at which 95% of the species can be protected. The values of HC5 for 4NP, 4-t-OP, BPA, E 2 and EE 2 were 1.43 µg L −1 , 35 µg L −1 , 6.82 ng L −1 , 4.91 µg L −1 and 0.1 ng L −1 , respectively, and the AF is the assessment value, which was set to 3 [37][38][39][40].…”

“…Among them, BPAF was the predominant BP with the mean concentration of 46.7 ng/g, followed by BPA (38.8 ng/g), BPS (12.4 ng/g) and BPF (2.10 ng/g). The concentrations of BPA in SPM from Taihu Lake basin ranged from ND to 877 ng/g dw (mean concentration 76.8 ng/g dw) [25], which were comparable to that of our study, but much lower than that from the Yangtze River (Nanjing section), ranged from ND to 364 µg/g (mean concentration 51.8 µg/g) [18]. However, little research was focus on the residues of other BPs in SPM phase.…”
