Odonata Diversity at Sumber Clangap and Sumber Mangli Puncu Village Sub District of Puncu District of Kediri

Abstract: Sumber Clangap and Sumber Mangli are geographically located at the Mount Kelud steeps. Administratively located at Puncu Village, Puncu Sub-district and District of Kediri. They provided hab-itat for the flora than fauna especially Odonata that never been stud-ied before. We aimed to study Odonata diversity at Sumber Clangap and Sumber Mangli area. The method used in this study was natural snapshot experiment that conducted by Odonata monitoring. Micro-climate parameter including air temperature and humidity w… Show more

“…This species is the only dragonfly from the Aeshnidae family in the Suranadi Ecotourism Area. Abdillah et al (2019) found G. subinterrupta in Sumber Mangli, Kediri, East Java in river habitats with temperature conditions above 25 o C and humidity above 80%. This species can habituate to anthropogenic factors because it is found in parks, namely pond habitats and wetlands (Ngiam and Davison 2016).…”

“…Vegetation conditions will also affect the state of the canopy in a place, for canopy several types of dragonflies are used to shelter from high intensity sunlight (Nugrahani et al, 2014). While the microclimate in a place is an important factor in providing habitat that supports the sustainability of the dragonfly life cycle (Abdillah et al, 2019), this is because the microclimate affects plants and animals, especially small insects as the main food for dragonflies.…”
