The article describes the method of obtaining new, cheaper compounds which can substitute polyols in the production of rigid polyurethane-polyisocyanurate foams (PUR-PIR). Rigid PUR-PIR foams were synthesized, using newly obtained tree compounds (citrates with hydroxyl groups): obtained with using catalyst (T-2-HHT ? K), without catalyst (T-2-HHT) and (T-5-HHT). New compounds (T-2-HHT ? K, T-2-HHT, T-5-HHT) were prepared from citric acid (1 mol) and glycols, respectively: butane-1.2-diol (3 mol and excess of 30 cm 3 ), butane-1.2-diol (3 mol), pentane-1.5-diol (3 mol) by the esterification reaction in the solution. The industrial Rocopol 551, used as polyol, was gradually substituted for the new compounds in the polyol premix in new foams. The three series of rigid polyurethane-polyisocyanurate foams based on T-2-HHT ? K, T-2-HHT, T-5-HHT have been synthesized (F1-F16) and W foam without new compound. Its properties have been determined according to the standards. It has been shown that the addition of T-2-HHT ? K, T-2-HHT, T-5-HHT to the foams affects the foams' density. The influence of the abovementioned compounds on foams' flammability, thermal properties and others was examined. A decrease in foams' brittleness by 6.9 % and in oxygen index by 24 % was observed. The examined retention was in the range of 80.9-96.5 %.

New polyols were synthesized with 2-hydroxypropane-1.2.3-tricarboxylic acid and butane-1,4-diol (1.4-BD). The synthesis was performed using different catalysts in the amount of 0.1%. Used catalyst: Tyzor TPT, tin(II) acetate, sulfuric(IV) acid. The fourth reaction was conducted without the use of a catalyst. The polyols' properties were evaluated with regards to the usefulness in rigid polyurethane-polyisocyanurate (PUR-PIR) foams (acid value, density, pH and solubility, FTIR spectra). Based on the research, it was evaluated that only the polyol synthesized using Tyzor TPT (E6) was useful in production of rigid PUR-PIR foams. Its hydroxyl number was 496 mgKOH/g and its viscosity was about 14 552 mPa · s. A series of fi ve foams P6.1-P6.5 was produced with this polyol. Rigid foams test results indicated that the amount of this compound in the foam substantially affects its compressive strength, density and their retention. The foams have low brittleness values.

The integrated metal/plastic injection moulding enables the production of plastics components with integrated conductor tracks and contacted inserts using an injection moulding machine. For this purpose, first a plastics carrier, which contains a groove for the later conductor track, is injection moulded and following electrical inserts are placed along the groove. The conductor track is then die‐casted from metallic solder. By using thermally conductive plastics, heat generated along the conductive paths and at the electrical inserts can be dissipated. A mechanical, electrical and optical characterisation of the material composite consisting of plastics carrier, metallic conductor track and electrical insert is carried out. In addition, process and material parameters that have an influence on the contacting of electrical inserts in connection with thermally conductive plastics in the integrated metal/plastic injection moulding are analysed. The results show that through the use of thermally conductive plastics, significant advantages in terms of heat dissipation and contact quality between the insert and the conductor track can be achieved.
