On a cylindrical scanning modality in three-dimensional Compton scatter tomography
James W. Webber
Abstract:We present injectivity and microlocal analyses of a new generalized Radon transform, R, which has applications to a novel scanner design in threedimensional Compton Scattering Tomography (CST), which we also introduce here. Using Fourier decomposition and Volterra equation theory, we prove that R is injective and show that the image solution is unique. Using microlocal analysis, we prove that R satisfies the Bolker condition (sometimes called the "Bolker assumption" [1]), and we investigate the edge detection … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
