On double barrier quantum well conductance effects due to exchange and correlation

Abstract: PACS 71.15.Mb, 71.45.Gm, 73.63.Hs Conductance investigations in double barrier resonant tunneling (DBRT) structures under an applied voltage usually make use of the BenDaniel -Duke equation (BDK), coupled to the Poisson equation, to incorporate electron interactions through the Hartree term in a self-consistent way.
