On the Conceptualization of Elastic Service Evaluation in Cloud Computing

Abstract: Cloud computing is becoming an urgent technology in the enterprises. One key characteristic in the cloud computing is the elasticity. Then, it is urgent for the users how to rank the renting services reasonably. Considering the main features of the elasticity, this article gives classification on resource optimization. However, one of the major challenges is how to optimize resource allocation in an elastic manner. Due to the special pay-as-you-go manner, resource optimizing strategies are associated with the … Show more

“…Resilience means to provision the resources rapidly in a flexible way. Elastic scheduling refers to two core conditions, including the time and speed [40]. In this paper, we define an elastic scheme S , which is represented as S = ( clock , U cpu % , U mem % , P u , P d ), where clock is the CPU cycle, U cpu % and U mem % are the CPU utilization and the memory utilization, respectively, which are gathered by monitoring the system, and P u and P d are the upper and lower thresholds, respectively.…”

“…In Herbold et al [Herbold and Hoffmann (2017)], authors propose the modelbased testing as a service to deal with the complexity of the Web service based on using cloud infrastructures. Additionally, many studies of integrating cloud services architecture with various application domains have been reported recently by researchers [Mohamadi Bahram Abadi, Rahmani and Alizadeh (2018); Borangiu, Trentesaux, Thomas et al (2019); Deng, Ren, Liu et al (2019); Feng, Wu, Zhang et al (2019)].…”
