“…Around the valve apices, areolae on the mantle are continuous externally and internally. In C. gandrupii, striae are composed of a multiseriate pore field, located internally between thickened costae and continue without interruption around the apices (Genkal & Yarushina 2018). In C. gerlackei, striae are interrupted by a hyaline line starting from the central area and terminating several striae below the valve apices, and internally, this line is visible as a rib-like structure inside the alveoli.…”
