Abstract:The review presents approaches with respect to the properties of the Earth’s climate system, which do not coincide with generally accepted ones. The results of recent studies show a more complex (stepwise) temporal dynamics of global temperature, which suggests the presence of a thermoregulatory mechanism in the climate system, which, if identified, will be able to estimate the likelihood of a transition to an increase or decrease in global temperature.
