Abstract:The concept of the Su-Schrieffer-Heeger model, which was successfully introduced in topological photonics, can also be applied to the study of topological excitonics. Here we study the topological properties of a one-dimensional excitonic tight-binding model formed by two-level systems by taking into account the charge transfer and local excitations. The interactions between the two types of excitons give rise to a rich spectrum of physics, including the nontrivial topological phase in the uniform chain, unlik… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
