One-dimensional proximity power transmission using ribbon-like waveguide and bar-type high-Q resonant receiver coupler

Abstract: In this paper we propose a proximity power transmission system using one-dimensional (1D) thin waveguide. In the system the receiver device can extract microwave power from the ribbon waveguide through a bar-type coupler that resonate with high quality factor (high-Q). Due to the high-Q requirement, the system enables selective power transmission to the special receiver and prevents other objects from absorbing power.
