MR neurography is more efficacious than are electrodiagnostic studies in the evaluation of deep structures ( 1 ) , the main indications being related to inflammatory/genetic/immune-mediated diseases of the peripheral nerves, neural tumors, or posttraumatic alterations ( 3 , 5 ) .
