Operations for Retroperitoneal Leiomyosarcoma and Solitary Pulmonary Metastases: A Case Report

Abstract: We present the case of a 67-year-old patient diagnosed with retroperitoneal leiomyosarcoma and solitary pulmonary metastasis. The patient underwent left lower lobectomy and retroperitoneal tumor extirpation simultaneously. This surgery resulted in good outcomes and significant shortening of the hospital stay. This case demonstrates the benefits of simultaneous surgeries for patients with retroperitoneal leiomyosarcoma and solitary pulmonary metastasis, providing the 5-year survival of 32 %.
