Abstract:The title compound (systematic name: 4-{3-[2-azatricyclo[9.4.0.03,8]pentadeca-1(15),3,5,7,11,13-hexaen-2-yl]propyl}-1-(2-hydroxyethyl)piperazine-1,4-diium dichloride), C23H31N3O+·2Cl−, is the dihydro chloride of a piperazine derivative bearing a bulky 3-(5H-dibenz[b,f]azepin-5-yl)propyl substituent. Protonation took place on both N atoms of the piperazine unit. The diazacyclohexane ring adopts a chair conformation. N—H⋯Cl, O—H⋯Cl and C—H⋯Cl hydrogen bonding as well as C—H⋯O contacts connect the compon… Show more
“…Furthermore, the benefit of choosing the adequate size of counterions to crystallize ionic compounds has been confirmed on many occasions [12]. In continuation of our interest in metrical features of large cations [13][14][15] the title structure has been determined. Furthermore, the molecular and crystal structure of metaphenylene diamine has been determined earlier [16].…”

“…Furthermore, the benefit of chosing the adequate size of counterions to crystallize ionic compounds has been confirmed on many occasions [12]. In continuation of our interest in metrical features of large cations [13][14][15] the structure of the title compound has been determined. Methacholine chloride is a synthetic derivative of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter.…”

In continuation of our interest in metrical features of large cations [13][14][15] the structure of the title compound has been determined. A comparable molecular connectivity pattern has been characterized structurally previously in form of the chloride [16] and perchlorate [17] salts of 4-chloro quinuclidinium.…”

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
