Optical conductivity in the impurity band of doped semiconductors

Abstract: A formula for the optical conductivity is derived from the Kubo relation in a framework of tightbinding approximation using a method due to Matsubara and Toyozawa. The derived formula is applied to the calculation of the optical conductivity and optical absorption in the far IR of doped semiconductors a t low temperatures. The calculated values of the optical absorption obtained using different approximated Green's functions are compared with the experimental data for Sb doped germanium.Ausgehend von der Kubo-… Show more
