“…The formation of [CeO 6 ] structural units was influenced by the increase of CeO 2 , as shown by the invariance of the area of [BO 4 ] structural units and the shift of the Ce-O-B (3) towards larger wave numbers. An increase in tetrahedral BO 4 units at the expense of BO 3 units indicates that CeO 2 addition plays a significant role in changing the glass network and making the glass system more compact [5,[49][50][51][52][53][54]. Therefore, the present glasses' optical and fluorescent properties were enhanced by embedding cerium ions into the host glass network.…”
