Abstract: Background Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is key in evaluating central cartilage tumors. The BACTIP (Birmingham Atypical Cartilaginous Tumour Imaging Protocol) protocol assesses central cartilage tumor risk based on the tumor size and degree of endosteal scalloping on MRI.
