Abstract:It is important to counsel patients regarding patient-specific and perioperative factors that may improve graft survival. In this study, we found that early reconstruction and male sex were associated with increased rates of postoperative complications in FTSG and composite graft recipients. It may be particularly important to consider graft delay as a method of improving graft viability even in composite graft recipients or those with risk factors for adverse outcomes, such as smokers.
