Optimization of ergosterol extraction from Pleurotus mushrooms using response surface methodology

Abstract: In this study, heat-assisted extraction (HAE) was used to optimise the extraction of ergosterol from Pleurotus ostreatus (PO) and Pleurotus eryngii (PE) using response surface methodology (RSM).
