Abstract:Background. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is one of the leading modalities for imaging of the musculoskeletal system. There are major problems in MRI of the hand, including lack of specialized coils and reliable fixation device for the hand, uncomfortable posture of the patient, motion artifacts, and small anatomical structures.
