Abstract: Due to fast reaction with isocyanates, polyaspartic acid esters (PAAE) can be used for the development of microcapsules for self‐healing coatings. Microcapsules with encapsulated PAAE into shell formed by UV‐cured commercial epoxy‐acrylate resin were produced through oil‐in‐water emulsion polymerization triggered by UV light.
