Optimization of multiple enzymes production by fermentation using lipid-producing Bacillus sp.

Abstract: The present study identified the pectinase-producing bacterium isolated from the contaminated broth as Bacillus sp. on 16S rDNA sequence analysis. The bacterium illustrated water-like droplets on the colony grown on the Sabouraud dextrose agar plate. It also exhibited multi-enzymes activities, such as pectinase, polygalacturonase, xylanase, and cellulase by using various agro-wastes as low-cost substrates. The orange peel was observed to be the best substrate among the agro-wastes used for maximum multi-enzyme… Show more

“…The discovery of penicillin caused the development of the medical industry and led scientists to desire to discover new antibiotics and drugs. At present, fermentation processes are also used in the industrial production of amino acids [ 24 ], enzymes [ 25 ], and other chemicals [ 26 ]. Many drugs (e.g., insulin [ 27 ]) are produced using genetically modified organisms, often bacteria.…”

“…For this, a matrix of 12 experiments was used to evaluate the effect of the three dummy variables (D, H, and K) and eight reel variables (factors) studied. Each factor was studied at two levels high (+1) and low (−1) [33,34] namely, A: Temperature, B: Moisture, C: Inoculum, E: Glucose, F: «Corn steep liquor»: G: (NH 4 ) SO 4 , I: NaCl, and J :Time fermentation (Table 1).…”
