“…Modern pharmacological research has indicated that LRM possesses a variety of biological activities such as antioxidant (Liu et al., ; Wu, Lv, Wang, & Wang, ), immune‐enhancing (Peng, Xu, Yin, Huang, & Du, ), anti‐inflammatory (Peng, Liu, Shi, & Li, ), and anti‐fatigue (Ni et al., ). Among the chemical constituents of LRM, anthocyanins and polysaccharides have been well proved to be the major bioactive compounds (Liu et al., ; Lv, Wang, Cheng, Huang, & Wang, ; Ni et al., ; Peng et al., , ; Wu et al., ; Zheng et al., ).
