Abstract:Experimental designs were implemented to investigate the effects of mold temperature and pulling speed on the tensile strength of cylindrical cables produced by pultrusion. A two‐level factorial design with a central point revealed that the linear model is not applicable for describing the influence of the process parameters on the tensile strength. Additional experiments were performed to investigate the contribution of quadratic terms. A three‐level factorial design revealed that only the linear and the quad… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
