Optimization of Well Production System by NODAL Analysis Technique

Abstract: Above and beyond the inflow performance of the oil and gas reservoirs, the drilling, completion, and hydraulic fracturing technology has a major influence on the production capacity of oil and gas wells. The performance of a perforated completion is dependent on the nature of drilling and perforating operations. Formation permeability is reduced by invading fluid (both drilling and completion) and by the perforating process. When a well is not producing as expected, the formation may have low permeability or/a… Show more

“…"TPR" stands for Tubing Per-formance Relationship. For clarity, only the declining side of the TPR which pertains to its gravity is shown, but the ascending side of the TPR (which pertains to friction) was NOT shown by Nind (1964) and Brown and Beggs (1978), and later by Dmour (2013) and Soleimani (2017). Production was done through the annulus (scenario-1).…”

“…This can be accomplished using a well productivity study that tries to establish the well's potential to produce and aids in determining the flow rate for natural flow and artificial lift wells [1]. Optimization of oil and gas well production using well optimization has contributed to better efficiency and higher production [2]. The method used is a modeling technique to assess all elements of the production system.…”

“…Petroleum production engineering is a part of petroleum engineering that attempts to maximize and optimize oil and gas production in a cost-e ective manner [1][2][3][4][5]. Every producing well is drilled and completed in order to move the oil and/or gas from the reservoir (which is their natural location) up to the surface into stock tanks or sales lines [6][7][8][9][10]. But during this particular phase of oil and gas production, several problems which tend to decrease the amount of produced hydrocarbons may occur.…”
