Optimized model‐based diagnosis approach for hydrogen leakage in hydrogen supply system of fuel cell truck

Abstract: Summary The hydrogen leakage in hydrogen supply system of fuel cell vehicles is a critical issue that leads to energy loss or even safety accidents. A quick and accurate diagnosis of hydrogen leakage is essential to suppress further leakage. Therefore, an optimized model‐based diagnosis approach is proposed to diagnose the hydrogen leakage in hydrogen supply system of fuel cell truck. The simulation model of hydrogen leakage is established. Two novel leakage features are proposed and then trained and tested by… Show more

“…The method can be applied to the diagnosis of hydrogen leakage from hydrogen storage cylinders of FCVs and HRSs for the full operational cycle and at different initial pressures. To improve the accuracy of leakage diagnosis, more leakage simulation models of FCVs hydrogen storage systems with different driving conditions should be developed so that the large amount of data derived can be classified for different leakage characteristics …”

“…If it leaks in a confined space, it is easy to gather, and there is a potential threat of fire and explosion accidents. According to the international hydrogen safety database, the number of safety accidents caused by hydrogen leakage is the highest [5] . Therefore, detecting hydrogen leakage quickly and effectively is a problem that many researchers and experts have been concerned about.…”
