The impetus for this paper emerges from the growing interest in leveraging inner transformations to support a global shift in ways of seeing and being. We caution that without sufficient individual and systemic maturity, inner transformations will be unable to hold the whole story and that attempts to drive paradigmatic shifts in ill-prepared systems will lead to insidious harms. As such, interventions for inner change will not have sufficient protected niche space to move beyond the boundaries of best practices towards wise practices. Drawing on Indigenous trans-systemics, we offer the metaphor of pearls as an invitation to recontextualize how inner transformations are conceived and approached in the metacrisis. To further develop this notion, we share a story of Wendigo and Moloch as a precautionary tale for the blind pursuit of inner and outer development. Weaving together metaphor, story, and scientific inquiry, we bring together Anishinaabe and Western knowledge systems for the purposes of healing and transformation. We hope that this paper will create space for wise practices—gifts from Creator to help sustain both Self and the World—to emerge, establish, and flourish. We invite readers on an exploration into the whole system of systems that are endemic to Anishinaabe cosmology, and a journey of reimagining new stories for collective flourishing amidst the metacrisis.

This research aimed to obtain land characters and qualities data and to determine land suitability for clove and nutmeg and their spatial distribution in Nusalaut Island, Central Maluku Regency. The results showed that the land suitability for clove are marginally suitable class (S3) with the coverage area is 1452.38 ha or 66.51%, and the limiting factors are water availability and nutrient retention (wa, nr) limiting factors and unsuitable class (N) of 731.52 ha or 33.50 %. While the land suitability for nutmeg are moderate suitable (S2) with root media and nutrient retention (rc, nr) limiting factors and the coverage area is 123.75 ha or 5.66%, S2nr of 409.93 ha or 18.77%, slope (S2eh) limiting factor with the coverage area is 918.7 ha or 42.1% and the unsuitable class (N) with the area of 731.52 ha or 33.50 %. The land suitability of the clove and nutmeg is located in the Other Used-Areas (APL) with the area of 2183.63 ha, while total land units in the study area is 2697 ha.

This research was conducted in Pelita Jaya Village, Pohon Batu Hamlet, West Seram Regency from June to July 2022. The research was conducted to study the effect of the interaction of doses of organic fertilizer from pearl oyster biofouling waste and intervals of water administration on the growth and yield of mustard plants. The design used in this study was a factorial randomized group trial design (RAK) with two treatments as follows: Factor I: Pearl Oyster Biofouling Waste Fertilizer (L) with 4 levels, namely L0 = Control, L1 = Dosage of 50 gr/tan, L = 100 g/tan and L3 = 150 gr/tan Factor II : Watering Time Interval (W) namely W1 = 1 day, W2 = 2 days and W3 = 3 days. Each treatment was combined to obtain 12 treatments with 3 replications, resulting in 36 experimental plots. In each plot, 4 sample plants were taken so that in total there were 144 sample plants. The results of this study indicate that the interaction of organic fertilizer from pearl oyster biofouling waste with intervals of watering has a very significant effect on the growth and yield of mustard plants (number of leaves, leaf area, plant fresh weight and plant dry weight). The best treatment interaction was the combined dose of pearl oyster biofouling waste fertilizer 150 g/tan with an interval of watering once every three days for mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.)
