Abstract:The numerical simulation of fluid-structure interactions has gained interest to study flow-induced vibrations. Nevertheless, the high computational resources required by such simulations can represent a significant limitation for their application to industrial configurations. Therefore, simplified modelling approaches, when physically applicable, can represent an interesting compromise. This can be the case of slender structures (tubes, rods) often encountered in nuclear power plants. In this paper, an Euler-… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
