Oral Biopsy in Dental Practice - The Pathologist's Perspective

Abstract: ABSBRACTThe abilitr of a pathologist to accurately interpret a lesion is largely dependent on a good biopsy performed by the surgeon. This article describes the common piffalls in biopsy techniques and of-ers ways to minimize them. It also diScusses the difficulties encountered by the pathologist in attempting to interpret artefactually damaged tissues.
