Abstract: Relapse is a major challenge in treating opioid addiction, including oxycodone. During abstinence, oxycodone seeking progressively increases, and we previously demonstrated a causal role of the orbitofrontal cortex (OFC) in this incubation of oxycodone craving after forced abstinence.
