“…Our findings also revealed that using T. ornate as a DAB resulted in a significant increase in potato yield only at location 2, which was accompanied by a noticeable increase in soil P and plant N. This observation is consistent with the findings of Uthirapandi et al ( 2018 ) and Karthik et al ( 2020 ). Although T. ornate liquid extract had a distinct hormonal composition with a higher amount of phytohormones (e.g., auxin, gibberellin, and cytokinin).…”

“…Although T. ornate liquid extract had a distinct hormonal composition with a higher amount of phytohormones (e.g., auxin, gibberellin, and cytokinin). The use of liquid fertilizer derived from T. ornate increased plant growth and improved the biochemical composition of starch, glucose, protein, and chlorophyll a and b contents in Ocimum sanctum (Uthirapandi et al 2018 ), as well as significantly improving the growth performance of Raphanus sativus, Phaseolus vulgaris , and Vigna radiata (Karthik et al 2020 ). In the present study, we observed that DABs of T. ornate , and a mixed dry mass of C. racemosa with C. myrica showed greater disease suppression when compared to foliar application.…”

“…The lady's finger (Abelmoschus esculentus) seeds were treated with seagrass extract in the form of foliar spray (FS) and soil drench (SD), recorded increased pods and number of flowers by FS, whereas enhanced weight and length of pods by SD, and suggested the marine plants as an alternate source of bio-stimulants for organic farming (Muniswami et al, 2021). Foliar sprays of seaweed mixtures are known to substantially increase growth and biochemical parameters in Ocimum sanctum when treated with a combination of Turbinaria ornata, Sargassum wightii and Caulerpa racemosa (Uthirapandi et al, 2018). The treatment of seaweed mixture was also proven to reduce heavy metal pollutants.…”
