“…The frequency of an independent origin of the 2 arteries on each side of the celiac artery is 2.25% 29) . The 2 arteries can also arise from the aorta or celiac artery as a common trunk 30,31) . The reported incidences of the right inferior phrenic originating from the aorta are 57.90% 32) and 38.00% 33) and from the celiac artery are 42.10% 32) and 40.00% 33) .…”

“…A dorsal pancreatic artery has been described as important branch of coeliac trunk by previous authors [6]. Inferior phrenic arteries are arising as common trunk from renal artery along with variation or absence of one of three suprarenal arteries has been reported in pertinent literature [7].…”

“…It was seen to be arising from right renal artery as soon as it arose from abdominal aorta. Topaz et al have described finding right and left inferior phrenic arteries originating from a common trunk which in turn originated from right re-nal artery [7].…”

“…They may arise either from the front of the aorta immediately above the celiac artery or from a common trunk with the celiac artery. In 8% of the cases, apart from the usual origin, other sources of origin of inferior phrenic arteries may be renal, supra renal, hepatic, left gastric or superior mesenteric arteries [5,6,7]. Because the inferior phrenic often supplies most or all of the blood to the suprarenal gland it must be identified and saved when surgery is performed on the renal pedicle to avoid complications.…”
