Abstract:Rational function approximations find applications in many areas including macromodeling of high-frequency circuits, model order reduction for controller design, interpolation and extrapolation of system responses, surrogate models for highenergy physics, and approximation of elementary mathematical functions. The unknown denominator polynomial of the model results in a non-linear problem, which can be replaced with successive solutions of linearized problems following the Sanathanan-Koerner (SK) iteration. scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
