Abstract: Introdução: Em decorrência de seu processo de adoecimento, a osteoporose não possui elevada mortalidade, mas sua presença tem ligação direta com quedas e fraturas, acarretando perdas para idosos, além de prejuízos no aspecto social e econômico.
