Ostrom’s Design Principles as Steering Principles for Contractual Governance in “Hotbeds”

Abstract: The sustainability of complex contractual governance in “hotbeds” depends on steering principles. Ostrom’s design principles provide an analytical framework for robust institutions that enable collective action and cooperative behaviour.
