Overview of SiPM applications

Abstract: Multicell Geiger-mode avalanche photodiodes, or silicon photomultipliers (SiPMs), have proven to be a sound alternative to other types of photodetectors in different fields and have advantages that can significantly overcome performances previously achieved, and enable new possibilities.
