Overweight, obesity and lipids abnormalities in adolescents with type 1 diabetes

Abstract: The most important risk factor for obesity in adolescents with type 1 diabetes is female gender. Lipids profile is closely dependent on metabolic control and mass excess. Diabetes duration, metabolic control and lipids profile are significant risk factors for overweight and abdominal obesity.
