“…Molybdenum is an important strategic metal that has strong thermal conductivity, high strength at high temperatures, and a low thermal expansion coefficient . Due to its excellent properties, molybdenum is an irreplaceable metal in industrial development and is widely used in many fields, for instance, as catalysts in the chemical industry, , as additives in the iron and steel industry, , as antioxidant coatings in high-temperature furnace bodies, , and in aerospace applications. , In the traditional molybdenum industry, molybdenum metal is mainly obtained by hydrogen reduction of MoO 3 . High-purity MoO 3 is finally obtained through two intermediate products of molybdenum trioxide and ammonium molybdate. This process is long, consumes large amounts of energy, and has many other disadvantages; the rare metal rhenium sublimates very easily as rhenium oxide into the flue gas and is difficult to recover; the process has low economic efficiency and is relatively expensive; sulfur dioxide is present in the gas at low concentrations and is difficult to recycle.…”
